Those following the wonderful thread http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=5284.msg98752#msg98752 will be aware I was inspired by some tremendous artwork and made one of my CA31 kits

into one of these

here they are together is glorious 1/72

and now via the wonders of digital technology and a lot of milliput..

we have it in eye popping manscale.

Closer to the second.  I was referring to scale-a-rama'ing the 1/48 model to 1/72...

OK..  as soon as I build a 1/48 version I'll get back to you. Meanwhile - you've convinced me I should single seat-a-fy one of my resin seventyseconders..  with a full load.

Using the scan-n-cut to make some airbrakes.

Harvey promises not to shed too much hair near recently painted surfaces...

Meanwhile in potential 1/48 land....

I'm a tease ain't I ? !    It'll happen - but the mojo has to be right..  and I'm becoming all CA31'd out with these two 1/32 jobbies.  Anyhow, I just purchased a set of manuals to ensure I have the entire picture with the intention of making the 1/48 kit as accurate as one can be with a mockup !

Where did you get the manuals?  Is it possible to purchase a copy?

I've managed to be in the right places at the right times or had friends who have as well !
Yes it's possible to purchase a copy - http://www.flight-manuals.com/info.html - I only just ordered the CA31 manual from this mob a couple of days ago to hopefully obtain more data than I already have. I want to make the 1/48 series with the advantage of as much information as possible ( there's errors/artistic licence on both my 1/72 & 1/32 versions)

HTH.

Was there an actual VG proposal then Les ?  Kinda wondering why they would have gone the Russian route if there was, there's no need for the u/c going in the wing box area is there --

I don't believe there was...  but CiTrus90 convinced me it should have been !

..and yes - the u/c is nowhere near the wing ala Pig or MiG.

Already covered in 1/72, soon to be 1/48, one in 1/144 (unfinished) and now completed in 1/32.

Now..  onto this 1/32 T70 X-Wing that I have suddenly whipped up...
