Wot?  You no like da mixed colours?

As I said, these supposedly are prototypes so I would expect the final product to be al grey.  Hmmm...speaking of which, maybe a modernised Yak-28P in two tone grey scheme similar to this:

Most likely mould fettling test shots, different colours for the various sprues would enable
a quick determination of which parts/moulds need work in terms of fit.

Well compared to my vacform Yak-28's these are magnificent fits.

Or compared to my 1/72 kit where you have to carve the parts from the flash before even trying the fit.

Pop the canopy/cockpit out of it, smooth it over and turn it into some kind of early nuclear cruise missile.

This was just posted on Facebook Red Star Scale Models:

And finally for the evening, we did get some information about the next items coming from Bobcat. Next will be the Yak-28PP - the electronic warfare variant - as depicted here. This is slated for April release. Also the Tupolev SB that many have asked about is still on the way and slated for the April/May time frame. So lots to look forward to!

Hyperscale Bobcat Models 1/48 Yak-28P Firebar Interceptor Kit review  (http://www.hyperscale.com/2017/reviews/kits/bobcat48001reviewjh_1.htm)by Jennings Heilig

Conclusion

To say I’m elated to see this kit - and to see it so very well done by Bobcat - would be understatement in the extreme.  I never dreamed I would see the day when I would hold an accurate, very well done, and well detailed model kit of the Yak-28P in my hand.  Whoever did the research for this kit did a great job, and the execution lives up to it.  The next kit due from Bobcat is the Tupolev SB, to be followed by the Il-28 Beagle down the road.  I’m looking forward to all of them!
