What I used to be able to do

Hi all just thought i would post one of my other hobbies encase anyone is interested these are from when my eyes were a lot better than they are now.









these are towards the end when I pretty much gave up, my earlier stuff was much better (must have been as I sold all of it).

Your work is excellent.  I feel like I am at the same skill level as the early humans and cave wall paintings.  You have a gift and I am envious.

Not any more as I said what I used to be able to do, my eyesight let's me down now. I don't do it any more as it is so frustrating I can't get it to a standard I am happy with. Those are pics toward the end when I decided to stop as I just could not get what I wanted.

Optometrist? You have a talent, please try to get some corrective glasses and carry on. Although you probably thought of that already. I hope your eyesight problem is not too serious.

Not to derail the thread but;

Jeff, cave paintings are highly underrated for the actual art & symbolism involved in them, &, when you think of the tools available to them, the skills of some of the artists are incredible (like all artists their skill levels vary). I have several books on the subject but, if you can find a copy these days, a book called The Creative Explosion is a very good read on the subject (can't remember the author, sorry - it's at home & I'm here).
