I'm doing this for a Civil Group Build on another forum.

For openers, I inverted the middle nacelle sections just to be different.

I'm replacing the wimpy 3-blade kit propellers with 4-blade units made from Heller P-39 propellers and Contrail tube.

As this is a Big Shot's ride, I've cobbled up a fancy luxury interior from junk in the scrapbox and a plastic card floorboard.

More later.

The new profile of the altered nacelles.

The windows are like coke bottle bottoms, so this is all I'm doing with the interior.

The modified Heller P-39 propellers. I'm thinking of squaring off the blade tips.

Current state of play.

Good.
Is the "unreal" part of it only in engine pods/propellers?

Looking nice, though I don't know that I'd invert the engines, at least not for a low-wing aircraft as it greatly increases the changes of FOD-damage.  Other than that, she's looking real nice.

Larry, looks like you are off to a great start with your project.  Altering the engine nacelles and new propellers will go a long way towards improving the appearance of your Gulfstream.  It looks to be more spacious inside than I had expected,

Larry,

The parts holders that you have on the bench.

Camembert or Brie?   :)

The second color is applied. Horizontal tailplanes are just dry-fitted at this point.

Camembert has more aroma but not that overwhelming.  If you feel adventurous get a small Camembert to try out with your meal or snack.

Had a question regarding the passenger compartment.  The three seats abreast across the forward bulkhead.  Is there no access to the cockpit from the passenger compartment?

Correct Jeff. This plane was owned by Auric Goldfinger and flown by Oddjob and Auric wants his gold back.   ;)

I've got the propellers sorted. I square-cut 3/16" from the tops. I'll be removing the cannon barrels from the spinners in due course.

Love the paint scheme. I've got to find a way to add a few civilian types to the collection to counter-act all that grey and olive drab.

"Changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes......if we can't laugh, we will all go insane!". Lyrics by Jimmy Buffet.

After starting the tropical paint job, I got the idea for my backstory. The choice of paint colors was made because I thought they would look cool and be somewhat unusual to put on a civilian aircraft.

Jimmy Buffet and his band or friends needed an aircraft of this type for island hopping around the Caribbean and for jaunts to Mexico and Central America. This plane was special ordered and equipped to suit the needs and likes of the famously laid-back singer, songwriter, and musician.

Construction was detailed above. The registration, including the initials JB, came from a Techmod letter/number sheet.

I'm happy with a colorful civil aircraft to add to my collection.
