1/72 RNZAF A-7 Corsair II
« on: May 13, 2017, 08:57:44 AM »
The Royal New Zealand Air Force had the Corsair II on the list to replace the Canberra, but we ended up buying the Skyhawk. But if we'd gone with Vought for a second time...

the boys in blue haven't pumped up the port oleo, okay?!

This is the old Hasegawa kit with OldModels Decals markings for the A-4K. Many, many thanks to our resident retired engineer elmayerle for sending me a replacement windscreen and canopy at ridiculous cost to himself after I somehow lost the originals (I bought this kit some time last year or 2015).

Nicely done Zak    :) :) :)

I've always wondered why the RNZAF has never gone for some F-16's either ---  You just gave me an idea for my F/A-16, it'll get RNZAF markings to go with my Osprey

Thanks gents! It was an enjoyable little build that languished for a while.

Greg's right, I think we had them paid for. It's worth a thread or three on its own but feel free to Google "RNZAF F-16". There are a lot of people here still very bitter about it 16-17 years on...especially after having a USAF F-16CJ deliver a stunning airshow demo at the RNZAF base ours would've gone to.

Cool, very nice indeed, loving the paint job.  :)
