« on: October 16, 2015, 05:33:42 AM »
iv decided to build a modern trio 1 of which is a whif of

tornado gr4

typhoon

tsr2 gr7

i cut slots in the wings so i can remove and refit them whenever i like, i also did it in such a way that they click firmly into position so they remain secure when i push them in
i havnt started the tsr2 yet

I like the idea of removable wings for the Tornado, I'm very interested to follow along and see how it goes! Ditto the Eurofighter and TSR.2 - the latter of which has been calling my name of late.

Do you mean you are going to build 1 mix from this 3 sources? Or 3 mixes with exchanges?
Both ways are very interesting, thanks!

Maybe the TSR2 is 1/48th (with dwarf pilots) while the others are 1/72th, no? ;)

heres what i usually do with tsr2s
glue a piece of sprue under the vert stab pin,
cut the pin off the stab itself and drill a hole in it and the sprue (i use 1.5mm)
then cut a suitable piece of rod, this gives a better fit but still allows easy removal of the tail

cut the pins off the tail and drill them for 1.5 mm brass rod (make sure its easily bendable because you wont get the angle dead on)
cut a suitable length of rod.
cut down the exhaust tunnels so the rod has clearance
