Take'em Down...NOW!!!
« on: January 24, 2020, 06:42:22 PM »
I still have to adjust a couple of things, but I feel my figure painting is coming to a point, that I I am becoming satisfied with the results so far. Just have to keep at it. I think, I may still need to do another wash. The green is not exactly the green for this type of camo but that is what I had on hand. Still have to improve on my color matching a bit more. I am going to get the right color for this camo pattern, soon. Unfortunately my photography skills still need lots of improvement. Oh well. If you have noticed, I used the vehicles from my previous diorama in this vignette. The previous diorama does not exist any more. Thanks for looking.

I think the photography is excellent! The green on the t-shirts may be too bright, but you got the skin tones/skin variations down. The African American soldier's skin tone is great - it can be difficult to paint dark skin. The modifications to the vehicles are awesome, too. Overall, an excellent diorama.

Thank you Frank. Yeah. I am aware of the green being bright. I had mentioned it in the introduction. I will get it right in my next project. :) Appreciate your view.

Still great work though.  I almost see this as being a scene from something akin to Battle: Los Angeles or similar.  Maybe a story of a team in Iraq coming across some aliens... ;)

Thanks. The scene takes place in the Middle East. Iraq most probably.

Yeah, I guessed that by the sign.  I just put the twist that it doesn't need to be fighting Iraqis though.  it could be something like Predator (you know, the whole going to centres of conflict thing... ;))

Yeah. I understand. That scenerio would have also been used, as well.

Nice composition and good action.  Meets all the required elements for a good dio.
