This ship comes from Von Barun's Across the Space Frontier from 1952. The Lindberg model seems to be a "whif" turning it into a lunar lander.  Here it's turned back into the round-the-moon-ship

I found a 1/400 scale version on Shapeways and asked the designer to upload a version in 1/350 scale. It printed OK, but it's extremely fragile.

I notice that one of the thrusters is cracked, in the parts lay-out of the Fantastic Plastic version.
"This is the Captain. We have a little problem with our engine sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and, ah, explode."
