Following on from my CLANAIR (CLark ANderson Aviation Industry & Research) Angel Interceptor GTI (Ground Target Interceptor) Mk.1 - I then had a lovely shiny new set of SPECTRUM decals in need of a new home...

The Italeri 'MiG 37 "Ferret"' is a fictional response to the belief that, if the Americans are working on stealth designs, the Russians must be, too. They weren't; they didn't have the resources and besides, Communism as they knew and loved it was imploding around them, but hey, why let the facts get in the way of a good dose of paranoia? So...

While the Americans really were developing stealth technology, the boffins at SPECTRUM were countermanding (read 'stealing') all their best new ideas to come up with their own, vastly superior version, which does happen to bear a remarkable resemblance to that Italeri kit. When you have true air superiority (not to mention complete radar invisibility), you have no need for Lo-Viz greys or camouflage, so one is free to decorate your airplanes in the usual Angels' colour scheme of dazzling white with red flashes. In this case, Parody (the little-known, secretive and reclusive sixth Angel) has been given a nice girly pink seat cover for that essential feminine touch. Just don't call her Par...

who'd a thought that the idea od Spectrum markings on a stealth-Ferret would look so nice !  :) :) :)
