BroPlan Caproni Ca.111 Build

On November 7, 2020 I’d posted this notice of retiring from scale model building after completing the BroPlan Savoia-Marchetti SM.95 four-motor transport, CANT Z.506C Italeri Z.506B Conversion & Caproni Ca.111 vacuforms, injected-plastic Italeri Macchi C.202, below are descriptions of the Ca.111 kit build:

The single-engine Caproni Ca.111 was a long-range reconnaissance aircraft & light bomber derived from the tri-motor Ca.101, first flown in 1932 two prototypes & 152 production aircraft were produced. The late 1990s 1/72 scale BroPlan MS-76 model kit with vacuform & injected plastic parts is the only one in any scale to date:

All vacuform plastic kit parts except clear ones separated from mold sheets; mainwings & fuselage pass-thru wing support beam assembled:



Fuselage halve portal windows, cockpit canopy panes & dorsal gun areas cut out, exteriors around cockpit spray painted Humbrol 148 Matt Radome Tan replicating Bianco Avorio 5, interiors Humbrol 78 Matt Cockpit Green + Testors Flat White 50/50 + 36% white scale shading enamels; panes fabricated from sheet plastic, glued in place inside canopy:

Fuselage Halves Assembled, All Seams Puttied* :





* Cockpit canopy structural window frame cut-fabricated from white styrene sheet plastic, glued in place, painting it later well as cut-fabricating & glue placing clear sheet plastic panes.

Fuselage-Mainwings Test Fitted* :





* Fuselage-mainwing support beam still needs to be painted & relatively positioned & glued in place before affixing mainwings on fuselage, difficult work ahead!

...Need ALL luck here! Avoid vacuforms if all possible particularly thin plastic molded ones ala Ca.111, e.g. cut out vac-molded pane areas today, frames extremely thin however, five custom cut & shaped clear cut sheet plastic panes somehow must be glued in between frames of each fuselage halve plus two more in front after halves are joined contrary to kit instructions, to be explained later...
