Hi guys

Thanks for the interest in the pilot's seat "auto-elevatory" proprietary technology.  ;)

Even though being classified material by the DoD, I will risk a sneak-peek to show you how it works:

Simple, isn't it? ;D

When the model is finished, 95% of all this will not be able to be seen, but it will be there nonetheless! :)

Hi guys

Thanks for the comments.

With the "interiors"pretty much done, it was time to take care of the exterior, building up the different sections
with bits and pieces retrieved from the old faithful spare box:

Regarding the rotating antenna in the middle section, I am having second thoughts about it, so I suspect that very soon
it will be replaced by ... something that I still have to "invent".

Thanks for watching!

Cheers

Splendid stuff - this is going really well.

If you do decide not to use the radar on thsi project, then please keep it for something else becuase it looks really good.

Radar? Really? On this beauty? Triple missile launcher, Vulcan, Maser, jet engine to extinguish fire, ion cannon...maybe tesla coil...there are many other possibilities than radar.

Fire extinguisher could be nice :)

To the master of recycling, the hero of zero-cost-models!

It's amazing Antonio! Simply amazing.
Hat off and a deep bow to your fantasy.
But, why didn't you build a transparent canopy?

It's in the style of Ma.K, Norbert.

In Ma.K the Earth-based Mercenary forces have highly effective Virtual Reality control systems & clear canopies are a weak point.

For example:

The off-Earth government backed Strahl, on the other hand, do not:

But they have better AI systems for autonomous drones:

Hi guys

Thanks for the comments and for the explanation of the MaK "environment"!

And since I personally love not to have transparencies to fiddle about, it is a win-win situation :)

But in the meanwhile there has been some significant progress.

First, let me to present the other player in this little farce:

Second, and as already expected, the rectangular array antenna was replaced with a turret.
"Death Ray Tower" sounds corny, so please call it what you want :)

And the Irony Mk I is pretty much completed:

And strange as it may seem, it was elected "Product of the Year" by the local consumer association.  Go figure!!! ;)

Next step: the terrain....

Thanks for watching!

Cheers

Well greeblied up and everything appears to have a purpose

Reminds me of a GDI vehicle from tiberium twilight, the Shockwave. Well sort of.

Great job, Antonio - in german we call such things "großes Kino", which means "an impressive view"!

When I've seen the guy beside the "Irony", sticking this stick into the plug, I've got an irony-cal idea: using such a key for spiral-spring-driven toys instead of the stick...  ;D  ;D  ;D

... or a starter crank.  ;)

Hi guys

Thanks for the comments!

Funny you mention the the starter crank, because that was exactly the original intention of the figure:
a WW2 German soldier trying to start a vehicle, ;D

In this scene, the purpose is slightly different, as you will soon see.

The base is pretty much done.
Standard wood wine case cut to the appropriate dimension, covered with vallejo pumice stone paste,
painted with acrylics and to finish, some Noch static grass:

The Irony Mk I also received a first coat of primer:

And just for fun, the Irony next to a Mak figure I (out of scale, since this one is 1/35 scale) bough the other day for another project.

Next step: Painting.

Thanks for watching!

Cheers

Antonio

Wondering what the cam finish will be ......

You can get 1/35th MaK suits to go with the Irony if that's what you're going for ;)

I've been eyeing off my wife's iron with temptation for something similar, but I like my man bits attached to my body, so I think I'll pass :)
I'll just enjoy watching you build yours
What scale is that suit?

1) A model doesn't get jealous when you look at another model
2) A model doesn't yell at you for spending money on another model

Hi

Thanks for the interest!

The Mak figure/suit Melusine is 1/35 scale, and the photo was just to add some MaK "atmosphere".

It is actually too big for the scene, since the other figures and the Irony are all 1/48.

But I promise that the Melusine will appear again in the future :)
I bought it as is (already assembled and painted).

Cheers

Ho Ho Ho :)

The painting has begun.

The ship received only the basic color,  but the figures and accessories are almost done.

That nice overall green is begging for some kind of "mapping à la MIG", if you know what I mean. ;)
