Got bored waiting for the glue on the Corsair to dry . . . ;D
This will be a quick (for me) build of the Revell 1/144 Spaceship 2 kit, pretty much OOB, probably a different colour scheme.
I have something Whiffy planned for the White Knight, when I've worked it out . . . ;)
This is the state of play so far . . .

Nice! That just screams sci-fi!
Looking forward to seeing where this one goes,

This one is destined for my 'Real World Models' collection, so it won't be too far off the wall. I've found an earlier proposed colour scheme, that to me looks good, and is easy to paint . . . ;D :-[
cheers,
Robin.

The model assembled, except for the engine nozzle, ready for the paint shop . . .

Robin.

Okay . . .
This one's finished.
Virgin Galactic / Scaled Composites Spaceship Two.
I've gone for a Space Shuttle type of look, inspired by the Fantastic Plastic version of this model :-

also, I've gone for a copper engine nozzle, like the ones on the Vostock / Soyuz rockets, purely because I think they look cool . . . 8)

The paint job is somewhat rough. but as i said, this was just a quick build to satisfy the urge . . .
I also decided to use the stand from the 'Topping' Corsair I have underway, that model will have the stand from this kit . . .
That's All, Folks . . .
cheers,
Robin.

Interesting subject and quite surprised to see that it has partially exposed landing gear. Would have imagined that the wheels/tyres would be better protected from the temperature extremes.

I don't think it gets that hot, maximum altitude is 68 miles, only 6 miles above the Karman Line, which is the definition of the edge of space. It's not like it's coming in from a couple of hundred miles up, at orbital velocity . . .
cheers,
Robin.
