These may be of interest to 1/35th armour modellers and possibly for steampunk/dieselpunk projects too: Marmon Herrington armoured cars. They havn'y got prices for all of them yet, but they look to be about £30:

Silver fern on the 2nd pic gives away the operator of the illustrated Mk II. ;)
£30? That’s, what, about AU$50? A tad expensive, me thinks, but do-able.

Glad to see IBG expanding into 1/35. They have some interesting 72nd items that I'd like to see in 35th.

A sentiment I share, but the other way around..... ;)

The Mk1 is very tempting.

British forces in North Africa got very creative when up-gunning the Mk.IIs, leading to all sorts of credible whiff possibilities:
As a large amount of weaponry was captured during the Desert campaign, units were able to modify their vehicles to reuse these.[4] Weapons fitted included the Italian 20 mm Breda and 47 mm Breda, the German 3.7 cm Pak 36 and the 2.8 cm sPzB 41 taper bore gun, the French 25 mm gun, the 20 mm Oerlikon cannon and the British QF 2 pounder anti-tank gun.
From here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmon-Herrington_Armoured_Car (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmon-Herrington_Armoured_Car)
I wonder if they're going to do a Mk.IV (which was a very different vehicle)? One thing I didn't know (from the Wiki page) was that Mk.IVs last saw combat during the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974, and that greek forces continued to use them until the 1990s....
-
They were used in South Africa well into the 1970s. If you've ever seen "The Gods Must be Crazy", you'll notice them there.

Like the Bedford QLB gun tractor, the Chevy C15TA & the C15A ..... I see, on their site, that they do a Bedford QLT troopie, too. 8)
I kinda like the Skoda guns, too, but that's because I have a soft spot for Czech armour & guns. ;)

I like the Otter: always thought that was a good-looking vehicle.
Purely because it's in the same old AFV Profiles book, I got it thinking wouldn't it be fun if someone made an injection kit of the Beaverette "armoured car" together with some British Home Guard figures to go with it... (there are resin 1/35th and metal 1/76th models of it)

Painted up as a Dad's Army version of Beavis and Butthead? Huh huh he said Beaverette.

Something specialised:
For those curious, it is a licensed variant of Patria's Armored Modular Vehicle and thus may offer some more whiff potential. For instance, a version of this is being jointly offered by BAE Systems and Patria for Australia's Land 400 competition at present.
-
That Rosomak has a lot of potential to be added to the LemonJello Industries stash at some point...

Land 400 BAE offering apparently has a CV9035 MkIII turret on an up armoured AMV as the Cavalry Reconaisance Vehicle contender while they are putting forward both the CV9035 and Armadillo for the IFV, plus variants, roles.

I want one to WhIf into a post-apocalyptic war wagon.

I like this box art because it gives you a good idea of just how small this was:
