A Couple of German Jets
« on: November 11, 2020, 09:24:20 AM »
Hi all

I'd like to showcase a couple of jets, the first has been on my "Wall Of Joy" for some time, it was about the fifth model I constructed when I got back into kit building but didn't  photograph it. The second was a "Back Burner" kit that was done in small spurts over time in between more urgent projects. Both are Hobby Boss quick build kits.

Me 163

This was built OOB without its launch trolley, it went together pretty well it only needed a bit of filler around the nose and a pilot.

And the money shot

Me 262

Again pretty much OOB except the paint scheme which I have interpreted from a profile found on the interwebs. I always wanted to do a 262 with squiggle camoflage. Like the 163 it went together pretty well, a bit of filler was needed on the engine/wing joints.

Nice work on both subjects but you really out did yourself on the squiggly-flage

Like Jeffry said! Those squiggle-flages are crazy-making in PhotoShop ... pulling it off in 3D is dead impressive
