I do so love the Flanker as an Aircraft, so like the others so far, interested to see where this goes

Kontrol Surfaces Komplex for Izdeliye T-10f

Secondary theme of this project:  Massive control surfaces.  Because

The canards are actually the Su-47 vertical tail, and the elevators are the canards themselves.... mounted to the elevators.  Each about 2x the area of the Berkut.

Because I like big tail....

The vertical tail is actually the sawed off wing of the Su-27.

Thanks folks!

Been off making decisions about the next level of detail.  Lots of filling & sanding.  Finally taking enough shape to give a visual update.

Couple areas where I marred up the filler that will need repainting, but you get the general idea.

Thinking about an 'Arctic Camo' paint scheme, so even though this is just the primer, some of the 'sprued' plastic started life as grey, so it's actually not a bad representation of what it will eventually consist of (though a little more thought put into the placement of said camo)

Cheers!

Put a white canopy and some landing gear doors on there and it would easily pass for some real-world wind tunnel model.

Thanks folks!

Was drying on the fan and thought would make an ‘action shot’ with sun in the background.  Because that’s likely what you’d see in a dogfight.

Also, wanted to get a few more shots of complete sans armament.  Thought it was interesting the camera picking up the yellow/red light of the sun gives the impression of a desert camo.  Might have worked rather well if had gone that route as well.

Armament.  Similar to typical Flanker load-out, but more concentric on the inner fuselage.  Tried a few things with the wings but kinda detracted from the smoothness of the lines a bit.  Thought this worked better.

Decals, cockpit.

And all the 'spare' armament that came with the kits.

"Parting Shots"

Pretty much done with even the minutiae of the model itself at this point so just finishing up with the Dawn Patrol:

Tried to rotate this one 90-degrees and gave up. Anyone in Admin able to fix?  Thx in Advance.
