Grumman C-2J "Jet Greyhound"
(Northrop Grumman Greyhound 21)
Mexican NATIONAL GUARD
Tactical Jet Transport

Backstory:  The Mexican NATIONAL GUARD is also getting a group of 10 C-2J "Jet Greyhounds" (more properly called Northrop Grumman Greyhound 21's.)  They will use them for the rapid airlift of Mexican National Guard personnel and resources to active sites within the country fighting the drug cartels and other criminal organizations, to hit them hard, fast and in great force, (independent of the armed forces.)  A Mexican National Guard Chief Inspector will head the aviation unit.  (To be distinct from the Mexican armed forces, the Mexican National Guard has police ranks and organization.)  Mexican National Guard aircraft are to be well-marked and distinctive from aircraft of the armed forces.  The Mexican National Guard is also receiving heavy weapons to counter the sometimes superior firepower of the drug cartels and other criminal organizations.  Because of priorities, the Mexican National Guard may get their 10 C-2J "Jet Greyhounds" before the Mexican Navy.
