Yep, and I'm also known to 'go Godzilla' on them after I've tired of their presence.   :icon_twisted: :icon_zombie:  :icon_fsm:

Just the models or people too? ;)

for lovers of egg-planes ....

Some parts of the Meng kit are a bit crude -- fix the astro-dome collar by reducing or removing & adding Hasegawa's gun barrels, upper turret & wheels would make a good mix.

They also do a Lanceggster ... looking forward to seeing pics of it built-up.

As an aside, Meng appears to have re-issued its two 'Hikoki '46 kits, the Kayaba Ku-4 and Mansyu Ki-98.
Squadron has them in stock. and the price on the Kayaba was dropped a couple dollars from yesterday's
listed price.

The Ki-98 provides such a nice, fun build. It's up there with the Revell Ar 555 in overall enjoyment.

Egg Planes, OTOH fill me with - I admit - an irrational hatred and rage.

Looking at that B-17, I saw a built up Lancaster in the same style at the Coventry show yesterday. Very nice, reminded me of those aeroplane caricature's one used to see in the cartoons in Flight and the such like.

Apparently it will be generally available in the UK in July. The same source says they are doing/do a Liberator

I wonder...swap weapons packs on the Smerch and the Trumpeter SA-6:

In other words, have a truck mounted SA-6  and the rockets on the tracked 2P25 TEL.

Lovely box-art on the Smerch!  :-*

Nice idea swapping the armament.  :) They use the same chassis for the big S-300 SAMs, so just three SA-6s might look kinda forlorn on such a big truck. Maybe a quintuple launcher? Three on top plus one on each side of an arm supporting the top row?

Speaking of bigger missiles: There's no S-200/SA-5 Gammon in 1/35, is there?  >:D A mobile version of those would look wicked.
Cheers,

You wait ages for a bus new 1/72 Delta Dart -  then two come along at the same time. In yet another very peculiar coincidence, Meng have announced a new kit almost at the same time Trumpeter have.

And Meng have also announced a new 1/35 ZSU-23-4 Shilka.

From The Modeling News website:

Meng is making a new 35th scale King Tiger & they want YOUR help...

Well that was a surprise! Just when you thought no one would take on the Dragon or even the Tamiya King Tiger kits – MENG Model is now making their own “Bengal Tiger” in 35th scale – not much on it as of yet – but they have the best qualified King Tiger builder in the business & one of the premier museums in the world to get working on the development….You can also help and potentially get given your own kit in payment!

Blah blah blah ...

MENG promise to represent the most perfect King Tiger model kit they can make with the numerous real vehicle measurements and pictures as well as the factory drawings and historical photos.

Using the two king tigers at Bovington in the UK they should get a good head-start..

Blah blah blah ...

Complete write-up is here.

Really nice to see this in 1:35th scale.  Was so disappointed when it was originally released in 1:25th scale.  Definitely going to be looking to acquire this kit.
