Hi, Chuck!

Obviously the F4U FTB's are using inline engines, so would they need the big round front of the aircraft?

I'd suggest slimming down the top of the nose (gives the pilot a better view for carrier op's) & put a radiator further back under the prop.

Test beds could be modified from the firewall forward, after all the rear has already been extensively modified for the engine, anyway. So, why not go whole hog?

That's a GREAT point you made!  I completely overlooked it at the time!!!  I guess I was too involved keeping the "Corsair look" in my drawings and made this bumbling error!  Thanks for pointing it out!!!

Wouldn't call it a "bumbling error", possibly an "oversight" or a "missed opportunity", or even "not where I was going with this". ;)
