Not post-apoc but thought ye might like it anyway.
this is the AFV Club Stryker with add-on springs and chains set also from AFV. Just a few straps to be added and a bit of weathering on the chains

I've seen that sort of mine plow before but not with the chains. Is that your addition to it or something that actually existed in the field? Looks like a field mod. Brilliant work, we demand more pics!

Thnks Gents.

its hard to find any real information on the chains but they seem to be factory fitted, or at least designed to have them fitted. The plow is only effective against surface laid mines and IEDs. I think the chains are meant to trigger anti personnel mines with the little prongs sticking up.

The after market set I  used comes from AFV Club also and contains all the metal parts but alsu uses some plastic parts thatwere in the base kit. I guess that was one way of keeping the price down.

Is the vehicle shown above towing a trailer?  If so, does anyone have more details?

It's an MICLIC (Mine Clearing Line Charge) trailer which fires an explosive cable across a mine field to clear a path. Hobby Fan did one in 1/35

Ah yes, I am familiar with that system (and the model kit you refer to - have one in the stash).  I thought this might have been a trailer for additional stores etc...now there's an idea.

Finally completed! This has been both one of the most challanging and rewarding builds I have undertaken to date. It's a great kit and any flaws in the build are entirely mine. And there have been a few, but I think I managed to hide most of them.

The extra stowage is a mix & match from the spares box but mostly Value Gear Details and Meng. And i think I'm going to have to do my first base to really do this credit....

Woh! Great job! 8)

Definitely needs a base or a little vignette to set it off. :)

That mine plough is a masterpiece in its own right and it wasn't until that last shot that I actually started to have a close look at the vehicle itself and realised what a great job you did on it.
