First up, Modelfiesta 31 in San Antonio, Feb 18.
http://alamosquadron.com/modelfiesta-31.htm (http://alamosquadron.com/modelfiesta-31.htm)
Next will be my home show, Scalefest 2012, May 19th.
(details soon)
October 6 will be in Austin, and no dates yet for IPMS Ft. Worth.
(my edit-Scalefest is the 19th not the 12th)

I don't think I can make San Antonio as we're going to be hip-deep in a high-profile mod program by then and I may be needed on the weekend. The others sound like ones I "should" be able to make.

BUMP!!
San Antonio show this Saturday!!!!!
Be there or be square!
-
I'm a tryin, captain...but it is going to be tough.... ;)
-
Being square is all too easy when you spend most of your working day in a cubicle. :D

And here are show pics

I like the Fw-190 on the front page. I also like the Buck Rogers fighter - what scale/brand?

I wonder if you could do it in plastic card then?
-
That was exactly my idea >:D
-
Great pics!! Thanks for posting them up!!

Roll call!
Who's going to be at Scalefest this weekend? And more importantly, who's gonna be the Squadron Open House?
I'll be at the Squadron Open House tomorrow afternoon. I'll be the one making fun of Scooterman as he holds that big 1/72 Cock kit. Because we all know how much lusts after that Cock.
I will be set up next to the What-If tables at the show. I'll have three new builds for the display table- my Ki-44/Ki-84 kitbash, the Bf 110 floatplane, and the RAF antiflash Stratojet.
-
Arrgghh!!! So close, yet so far...I will be down there in just over a week's time!!

Rotorhead's kids. Those British UAVs based on the Firebee were especially lustworthy. Tony's Luftwaffe Shoki I first saw 2 years ago when he brought it to Scalefest inspired me to build my own German Shoki. But I realized he had Fw 190 bits on it. Brilliant. Still brilliant. Mine is a Ki-44 Shoki/Ki-84 Hayate hybrid in Luftwaffe markings. With a big supercharger in the belly. I'll post pics later.

This was the star of our Whiff Tables this year! Lots of double takes on this one.

I would love to do dirty things in a dark room with this RAF Aggressor Gnat.

Another view of Tony's spawn. Like I said, those British UAVs are lustworthy.

Ahhhh, hell, I'd take all of Tony's birds and go do nasty things with them in a dark room. At the last show this JASDF Tigercat was unfinished.

Scoot's Guardrail Jetstream was nicely executed. I now have the urge to Guardrail several kits in the stash.

Some of the Texas Whiffers with our honorary guest from the UK......

I had arrived to set up my tables before Brad and Phil got there and I was specifically instructed by the IPMS guys in charge to keep Brad in line. It's a lousy job, but I took one for the team and stepped up to the plate and kept him from teabagging several folks.
-
I'm now feeling a little better about missing out on this one...you perverts!!! ;)
-
...you perverts!!! ;)
Mister GTX, how DARE YOU lump the others into my category! I'M the designated pervert!!!! Well, OK. Perhaps Mr. Chicken is with me...........
;) :P
-
Since JP didn't mention it, the Whiffer on the left is non other than Uber engineer Evan Mayerle. I think everybody else is known.
-
Oh schnap, forgot to post a picture of the Whiff Industries JMN Detector:

This was the highlight of the show for me, personally. ;)
-
got anymore pics of the little yellow bird in the top pic . looks like a 163 with jap markings?
-
Nippon Tigercat! Nippon Tigercat!! makes me wanna purrrrrrrr. :-* Nice work on all the rest as well.
-
Testing Twiglets on humans? Surely there some kind of law prohibiting that! :o
-
OK real late getting this posted because I didn't know if I was going to make it, and I haven't heard back from any of the locals, but I will be there...........
IPMS Ft. Worth show this Saturday the 8th.

Be there or not be there, that is the answer! Or something like that. :-\
-
I'm afraid I didn't make it; I had too many other things occupying my attention and time today.
