Top: Irish trial of refitting an AML-60 with a turret from the FV721 Fox armoured car.
Bottom: Irish trial of refitting an AML-60 with a 25mm Bushmaster chaingun in a French-designed turret.
The story for both can be found HERE (http://irish-armour.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_29.html).

Idea: now I have an awful sense of scale (the place where I found the pic (https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/warships1discussionboards/baratarian-tank-competition-1965-t25879-s130.html#p505314) has some interesting numbers: turret mass 2200kg, turret ring diameter of 1500mm, and trunnion load 6000kg), but...... can an AML handle the 60mm HVMS turret?

The AML-90 could probably handle the turret, not so sure about the recoil. The similarly sized LAV-150 is limited to low velocity 90mm guns.
