Amazing subject! And a great build of what sounds like a highly challenging build ...Commenced Broplan/Italeri CANT Z,506C Composite Build yesterday, moving faster then expected despite screwing up placing fuselage cabin windows, all had to be pried out, new windows cut & glued in place; all fuselage interior parts in place & gluing halves by Saturday. The Z,506C will be painted all white with circled red crosses assuming one or more of 38 Z.506C's built sported this air ambulance livery during WWII, no water decals to model anything else alas, shooting to get the Z.506C build done by December 4th.
Needless to say, Richard, when that fateful day finally arrives, your builds (and oscurità italiane) will be sorely missed :(
Sorry. Wrong picture. Here is the 506C....YOU'RE A CAMP Mat! MANY THANKS!!! Fuselage cross is directly over the fuselage cabin door, need to figure out how to place it there. Period photos & other modeler's builds show "window curtains" in place, as I write fabricating equivalents with cut styrene plastic strips, spray painting them Humbrol 103 Matt Cream, glue them in place after drying.
Found some more at a italian modellers website...Most helpful! Here's sneak peaks of my Z.506C build as of tonight November 21st:

Dorsal duct work came out very nicely. But those exhaust collectors ... :-*...Didn't want to fabricate the ductwork but no choice per period photos, forward "cone" air inlets still need to be painted black. Other Internet BroPlan Z.506C model photos show better crafted cones with holes, had no "cone" spare parts to fabricate them used sprues instead, carving out air inlet holes would had broke them apart! 2015 retooled Italeri Z.506B kit engine exhaust pipes far cry from generic 1983-vintage SUPERMODEL ones, actual Z.506Cs may had sported early S.79 straight pipes ala c.1967 Airfix kit, available period photos up on Internet not discernable as to exact shape.
