A thread for those light/airborne tanks not already covered in other threads.
To start things off - the French ELC (Engin Léger de Combat) project which came in multiple forms:
ELC 30: The ELC 30 was a variant within the ELC series of light tanks which was armed with twin 30mm HS825 cannons mounted on a pedestal-type turret and two machine guns. The central gunner's hatch was located on the turret, and a single fluted barrel is mounted on both sides of the turret.

ELC 75: The ELC 75 was armed with four 75mm recoilless rifles, with two placed on each side of its small pedestal-type turret.

ELC Na2: The ELC Na2 featured a turret fitted with four SS-11 ATGM. A twin launcher is located on the right side of the turret, and a single launcher is located on the left side. An armoured glass observation window is fitted on the front side of the vertical plate turret.

ELC 90: The ELC 90 was armed with a single low-pressure 90mm Mecar gun fitted on the right side of a pedestal-type turret, with a single smooth barrel. A co-axial machine gun is mounted on the left side of the turret, and the gunner's hatch is located on the top of the turret.

Maybe, though it will be getting tough competition from the General Dynamics Griffin II.

How about the US T92 light tank, but upgunned from 76mm to 90mm or 105mm?

As I understand it, it was cancelled when the US Army decided they wanted an amphibious light tank and this concept was entirely too concentrated to be amphibious. in its stead, the M5515 was developed.

The T92 light tank? I've never understood why it needs a bigger gun. I suppose it's 'cause of the difference in ideas about how to carry our recce in the US versus Downunder. Up there, you want a bigger gun because you need to fight for what you're looking at whereas we just sneak 'round. I agree that the T92 was a lost opportunity. It is a much better looking vehicle than the Sheridan.

What? You don't like the Anime style turret? Maybe they could have added three Mecar 90mm guns in a line...

Nah, I've always liked the look, but I don't think it would have worked out in service,
too many moving parts and potential weak points.

Nah, I've always liked the look, but I don't think it would have worked out in service,
too many moving parts and potential weak points.
Difficult to seal as well, against NBC contamination...
