Hi everyone

I'm going to Hi-Jack Brian's thread here - mostly because there seems little point in creating a whole new one with the same title and subject
This years Expo has turned out some awesome builds and displays. Oddly enough, not as much armor as I thought there would be and a little light on for the large scale aircraft but none the less, the quality was right up there

Here's a link to the pics I took: http://s1224.photobucket.com/user/madhatta/library/Melbourne%20Model%20Expo%202015?sort=3&page=1
but below are a few of my favorites

It is still on and I'll update the album if and when I take more

Thanks

MH

Is that Brian's (buzzbomb's) Time Machine I see before me? :)

Some outstanding work there.

What was the story behind this one?

I believe you will have to speak to a certain Mr Jenkins to learn more !  Search for an entry made on May24 on ModelArt's facebook page.
I quite like it and know where at least two of my Lancs in the stash are now heading !

I've updated the album with another 129 pictures I took throughout this morning. I've tried to get better close ups of some of the more highly detailed builds
The upload should be finished in another  hour or so, depending on how fast photobucket can sort itself out :)

Jeez, Les, how many are in that box?!

I love the first diorama, it's wonderful. Now I'm off to the Photobucket link to check out everything else. Over on ARC a guy built a playground Beaufighter and I think it was at this show.

EDIT: Checked out the pics and here are my favourites!

Not a favourite, but I'm worried about what this Vulcan display is about?!

And this one just makes me happy! I love it!

I forgot to say congrats to you Les on your first placing with your ....umm...what you call it.... the scratch built person/robot build - the one that reminds me of Dr Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog (only not as fat) with the mulitple arms. I have forgotten what you called it - but I had to have a few looks at it to encompass the whole awesome-ness of it. Well deserved first there

The theme behind this club display (the club I am in) is A Moment in Time. All the models were about a particular event
The story behind the Vulcan was after 15 odd years happily attached to a members garage roof, the fishing line snapped and the model crashed to the floor in 2008.

Well it was funny to us so we included it in the display.

Cheers !  I christened it an "Adeptus Mechanicus Spinifectre"...  sounded about right.  :)
