True North Precision Enamel Paints
« on: August 28, 2018, 10:31:59 AM »
This is a new company based in Maine manufacturer offering:
  • Federal Standard 595B and C Matching Colors
  • World War 2 Military Colors
  • Modern Military Colors
  • Non-Military, Automotive, Figure and Mixing Colors
  • Metal Effects
Has anyone ordered paint from them? They have CAF Voodoo grey (FS16515) BUT they want $25 USD via FedEx Ground (plus duty fees I am sure) to ship a $5 bottle to Canada. I have asked if they can fix this.

Work in progress ::

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

Have em ship to the UPS store in Ogdensburg. Its about a 90 min round trip, and if you gas up more than 3/4 tank in NY, the trip pays for itself.

Those look very much the buisness, Carl!

Ironically, I was having a discussion with one of our fellow modelers recently about paint. While enamels don't work for me, the excellent results you see many get from them speak for themselves.

Very much looking forward to seeing more of that voodoo that you do so well.

Am I that transparent Robert?   :P

And few other upcoming projects which I think will also look good in Voodoo Grey.

So, how did you get them across the border? Certainly not by paying 50 bucks to those hosers at FedEx?

How about a Canadian Thunderchief with Iroquois propulsion?  I know Republic looked at such and made a proposal.

Just the exhaust pipe I'd think.  I seem to remember now, reading about the Republic proposal somewhere too ---
