1/48 Messerschmitt Bf-110G4 Nightfighter

I know this really isn't on subject but with work and the GB this is from I just haven't had the chance to work on my other projects. So decided to show everyone what's been keeping me away the fun stuff!!

This was for a Bf110 GB on another site, and is the last aircraft to be flown by Heinz Schnaufer, who was the most successful night fighter pilot in history, 121 confirmed kills.

An Eduard Bf110G was the basis for the build with some extras including decals for this particular aircraft. The biggest drama was the almost complete lack of info or photo's of this aircraft...certainly made the build interesting!!!

Don't worry normal service was be resumed shortly with progress aircraft. Please enjoy and attached is link to build for those interested, sorry it's a bit image heavy!.

Very nice and completely on subject, as Greg has stressed since the beginning, BTS is for any modelling folks wish to display,
not just fantasy what-if stuff.

German aircraft aren't my cup of tea, but that is still one gorgeous model.  Love the attention to detail.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

That is great work!

I will also reiterate what Jon has said:  here at BTS we welcome all forms of modelling (though sometimes that Spat brigade stretch the limits... ;)) .  Both real world and whatif.  So please feel free to post more like this.

Now that's a show-stopper if I ever saw one! I really like your details like the scuffing on the props.

It's a treat to see a night fighter posted. That's a subject I always enjoy!

As the others said + toooo good :)

In those colors I get flashes of it in 50s-60s USAF ADC markings.

thanks everyone for the really nice comments.

The Eduard model is not one of the easiest to build, it has a few issues,especially around the cowling fit!

Gotta love the night fighters, one of my favorite subjects.  ;D
