Must say that I've saw finished model personally and it's still making great impression :)
Because above published Scorpion is being built in parallel with jet-propelled one* (sometimes even in the same room
), I'm placing a few photos of progress on jet-proppeled version (and large thanks to Artoor_k for help and motivational kick in, well... that place that usually requires to be kicked in order to make things done
).
First few days of work - hull and wings came from some poor quality kit of 1/72 F-16 (Aeroplast), central part of wings is made from old scraps from Mig-17 (Master Craft), Engines were extracted from wrackage of A-10 (Italeri). The only new thing here is cockpit which is an Aires production. OK enough talk, here is how it looks about 3 weeks ago:
