« on: April 29, 2013, 03:31:13 AM »
Im probably not in the righ place for this so please move me if im not but... Does anyone know if anyone does the decals for James Joseph 'Orange' O'Meara's Mk1 spitfire "SH-K" ?! The one he flew in the battle of britain ? Im currently building his VII and came into possesion of a new Airfix Mk1 and thought it would be nice to model his other less famous ride....

Actually i may have answered my own question in the end... Could someone more knowledgable about early 1940's spitfires tell me if this would be the right size etc ?

Looks good ... although the linked website is a little confusing. Once the image is blown up, it becomes apparent that all the roundels appropriate to a BoB Spitfire are included -- 35" diameter Type A-1 fuselage roundels, 50" Type A under-wing roundels, and 56" Type B wing-top roundels.

Im ok for roundels i just need the extra big early type codes to make up the SH-K.. I cant imagine the rest of the set going to waste though if it is suitable..  :)
