This is the Delta2 kit of the Macchi M.C. 72 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macchi_M.C.72) updated to a late interwar, early WWII ship board catapult fighter.
I stocked up on lipstick as this kit needs it badly. Poor molds, poor fit etc. No cockpit.
Prop is from a Aeroteam Spitfire MK.21. I removed about 12 scale inches. Canopy is a shortened PM Sea Fury unit. Cockpit built up from scratch. Floats need lots of filler. Armament will be two 20mm cannons from a Hurricane IIc. Decals TBD.

Are you sure lipstick will be enough to make this look better? :)
That is quite an odd looking bird with the tandem engine arrangement.

Probably not Jeff. That's where out-of-focus pictures will help.
If you read up on the MC 72 history it still holds the world speed record for float planes at 440 MPH / 709 KPH it set in 1934.
The power plant in two V12s in tandem.

Sorry Jeff, but there is absolutely nothing 'odd' looking about the MC72.

'Course there is absolutely no room to add any military kit to the airframe either. Just like all
the Schneider birds.
;D

I'm liking this idea...
