Sales at Sprue Brothers
« on: December 13, 2011, 02:54:12 AM »
This seems to have been going on for a week or so, but Sprue Brothers (http://www.spruebrothers.com/) is putting one or two items on deep discount each day in their "Latest News" column on the main page.

For instance, today they have the Cyberhobby 1/72 Sea Vixen FAW.1 on sale today for $23.49, as well as some generic DML NAZI armor.

They also tend to have really good sales this time of the year.

I received an eMail from Sprue Brothers this afternoon with a list of stuff for sale at very steep discount off the MSRP.  The one item that I would have liked to acquire was the Bronco 1/35th scale M2 Bailey Bridge kit which was marked down from $55.00 to $22.00.  Seeing that on the list I immediately went to Sprue Brothers web page in hopes of acquiring said kit at this remarkably low price only to discover that the kit is now out of stock.  Color me very disappointed.

Gordon is passing on discounts from those of his distributors as well as reducing pricing to reduce inventory. The more you sell the more money you have to turn inventory over.  It pays to visit the Sprue Brothers homepage at least once a day. If something is limited in quantity and it goes on sale, you better get it! That means adding it to your cart and checking out right away, otherwise it will be gone picked up by someone else.

They're having another sale until 2/29/2012. Notable examples:

The Dragon 1/200 YB-49 is $13:

The 1/200 Vulcan is also $13:

There's a 20% discount on top of that (see the front page): http://www.spruebrothers.com/

Necroposting! Sprue Bros has a new distributor for AZ Model, and their prices for the new releases are much lower. Just in time!

AZ Model at Sprue Brothers

The new Gotha P.60 in 1/72 is $19... some of the older AZ stock still has the ridiculously expensive price, though.

Sprue Bros has a fairly decent 10th Anniversary sale going on - 10% off for orders under $100USD, and 15% off for orders above that amount.

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.
