Looks realistically well worn! Hard to believe those fenders are plastic.

Hi all I've pretty much had it with car kits, Ive been told I'm ruining a classic kit, feeling pretty deflated now, I thought this was some of the best work I had done. will stick to ships in the future.

Who told you that you are ruining a classic kit?  The work you are doing on realistically weathering this is outstanding!  I am envious of your skills here.

Hi all well thanks for the boost, this will be my last post on this one till at least next friday as off for the funeral in Scotland tomorrow.
I broke and lost part of the steering last night so had to make a new bit

gave the bottom another coat of muck and added a bit of grease

also (although my art days are way behind me nowadays)(and I never could do portraits)this is supposed to be Rene from Allo Allo, he will be behind a dirty window in the dio so I may get away with it, if not there's always plan B.

Your portrait skills look pretty good to me! This is a terrific build, and some first class weathering.

It's an MG34.

That's definitely an 1/8 scale MG 34. It looks so big in the back seat!

Gotta say I think this is looking great! 8)

Perhaps the negative creeps critics are "showroom" build afficionados? ???

This is like seeing a real car being assembled. Your weather skills take this to a new level! This is getting closer to a work of art every day! I bet if you took this to an art show when finished you would get very positive comments.

A couple ideas.

1.  For pictures of interiors, undercarriages, and engine compartments of clapped out cars, go to eBay Motors.  Check out cars of the 40s-60s.   Pick ones that are pretty beat up on the outside, and checkj those ads with a lot of pictures.

2.  I was fixing some heating ducts recently and used this stuff called variously aluminum tape, heater tape, etc.  It is NOT duct tape.  It seems pretty pliable, and might be useful for something.

Close, just need the 'grip' that was used on the T-stock version.
