LF: Any Scale Pin-Up Girl Decals

Help with naked women & other bits please ?
Guys,
I've been given the old Revell PBM-5 Mariner to 1/112th scale.  Looking for 2 pin-ups (preferably posing naked, 1 front & 1 back view) for it - 1/72nd or maybe 1/48th B-24 bomber ones would suit but not sure they'd fit on the aircraft's oval fin as I intend.  Available space on the fin is 19mm wide x 35mm tall -- any suggestions, anyone have spares to swop ?
   Air Freddie  http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=1137.0

Also need a pair of 1/72nd  F-104 tip-tanks & a 1/48th prone pilot (bombadier from a Ju-88??) for other projects.
Have bags of asstd decals to swop.

I have the decal sheet from Revell's 1/48 P-61 if you want it

http://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/kits/rm/images/rm_7546_decals.jpg

Mine however has "Husslin' Hussy" and her clothes in red instead of white and blue.  Also the back paper has yellowed but the decals still have all of their color including pure whites.  I'll send you a photo if you're interested.  Let me know man.

Several sheets in different sizes. Something should work for you.

I can recommend this supplier as I've bought from them.  Got this sheet to work on a couple WIPs.

The very first line of the very first post had me giggling...

Glad I peeked in here, I've off and on been pondering this question for some WW2 RBCAF builds I want to get to at some point, the set Greg linked to should do superbly, I think!

Got to wonder, now even the air forces are mixed (to an extent)  what's going to happen the first time a squadron is painting up with cheescake nose art and one of the female pilots insists on a "beefcake" one..... ;D

I'm sure there'd be objections, but they'd have to be damned creative ones....

Why object, though? If you don't like it, don't get one.

But now you've got me wondering, if that would cause objections, what about the first nose art with an (overtly or subtly) queer theme?

Don't ask, don't tell!

Last I heard that doesn't apply anymore? ;P

But I do have an idea for one that's pretty... well, very subtle, one of those "if you know you know, if you don't you won't think anything of it" type of things... will probably use it on an AltCan CF-110 one of these days.

The RAN was having issues with relationships forming between crew members once women started going to sea to the extent that they had to change the rules, which also flowed onto same sex relationships in the name of equality.  Basically the new rule was so long as there was no power inequality the only requirement was that the sailors concerned had to notify their commanding officer of the relationship.  An ex navy colleague described the change in a nut shell, "Its gone from being an offence to bang a crew mate to being a requirement to brag to the boss when you get lucky"

Because an individual plane is only nominally "yours": in a real war (which is when nose art gets permitted) you fly whatever's serviceable on the day. I can see a few male pilots having "issues" with going to war with a nice Chippendale painted on the side of their plane.... ;D ;D ;D

Which raises the thorny issue of what constitues a "relationship": Once? Twice? Every now and then?

Also wonder what happens when sailor A notifies the boss of their "relationship" with sailor B, then sailor C notifies the boss of their relationship.... with sailor A - oops. Does the boss keep shtum or tell all?

Okay, I see your point! :P But hey, in a case like that? I'd just stick a post-it note over the, um, offending bit: "This is not my plane, I'm just borrowing it!" ;D

Given the trend to appliques rather than painted on markings (cf. teh markings on the leased-back V-22 Bell is using as a testbed), perhaps we could see full scale nose art decals the pilot could apply to their mount of the day and remove afterwards?

I wonder what effect nose art would have on the LO characteristics of a 4.5 or 5th Gen combat aircraft?

I suspect it depends on your choices of materials and/or paints.  I suspect some enterprising company could develop LO applique material for just this purpose.  Perhaps using some of the same materials used for appliques on the F-35, but with different colors.

But now you've got me wondering, if that would cause objections, what about the first nose art with an (overtly or subtly) queer theme?
Already been done on some Korean War-era KB-29's. (Well, more "hermaphrodite," but...)

Check the various Squadron books on the B- and KB-29, I seem to recall one especially focused on Superfort nose art--one of the aircraft I recall was named "Town Pump". (Needless to say, since I had those books for a sixth-grade research report on the B-29, that was one genre of nose-art I did NOT include! LOL)

Did a Google image search for "KB-29 town pump" and I find nothing hermaphroditic or queer about it... it's just a woman, suggestive of a prostitute... (like most of this sort of nose art the cerebral part of me loathes it, but if I don't think too much about it then on a more visceral level I have to admit to liking it...)

I'm glad that my problem of finding naked women has sparked such debate ! ;D

A few years ago I was at the supermarket checkout when two house-wives in front of me started discussing their husband's "dangly bits" ...... definately a "three monkeys" converstion that I didn't need to hear :o

I have seen some cartoon bomber nose-art that could be interpreted as being "gay" -- you may have to invent your own, Litvyak ..... maybe a naked Wonder Woman ?? :-*

Well I was thinking Danger Girl might be appropriate for a combat aircraft...

A few years back I saw an NSFW version of this picture that I think would look brilliant as nose art...
