Another project that languished for my terror of track work - this is the 1/72 Dragon Maus that I started sometime in the 'aughts. I decided to
make it a dedicated 'Urban Assault Vehicle', swapping out the 128/75 combination for a 38 cm RW 61 and a pair of 30mm Mk 108's in remote turrets for AP/AA work. Discovering that the casemate for the Porsche Elefant was the same as the Maus turret, albeit not quite as tall, I grafted that to the back, and trimmed down some Evergreen tube stock to make the sponson bases. The RaketenWerfer was scratchbuilt from plans found
in one of the George Bradford books. (I thought about just picking up a Trumpeter kit, but was stubborn and cheap. Still think I did alright.)
And this was were it has sat for a few years now.

I spent an afternoon finishing the bogies, and tacking the track into place. (A lot more robust than the E-100.) I don't know if these are the
'DS' type or not, but cyano seems to hold them together well enough.

And then I started on masking. I'll take some pics of the paint-in-progress and the sub turrets in a day or two.
(Sorry about the focus. The macro setting on my little Fuji is a little wonky.) Thanks for looking!
