An inspirational but rhetorical question.

First reaction: "Why do we need tanks to assault babies?"

Second reaction: "I bet babies make terrible tank crew."

You could really sidestep the onion skins of reality and put it in the MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE supersonic livery.

Looks like it would be ^D/2

Attached is a link to a vehicle, probably of the same company but different platoon, which shows the opposite side markings.

Unfortunately I can't post the image full size.

Actually, I think your tank may be the tank at the rear left of the image! :icon_surprised:

Note: If you open the image in the link in a new tab then double-click it it expands to full-screen.

Thanks for the link to the image. I saved it and zoomed in and you are correct, the Delta is first then the D/2. Unfortunately, the dry transfers for the left side is crackled so I have to order another set. I should have them by next week.

The delta/chevron should be the platoon marking.

Up (^) is 1st PLT, Right (>) is 2nd PLT, Down (v) is 3rd PLT, Left (<) is 4th PLT.

During the interwar period, the German flag carrier Deutsche Luft Hansa had built up a lucrative network of long range airmail routes, the longest of which included transatlantic ones. During the mid 1930s, the airline continued to hold a strong interest in the further development of its long distance routes; accordingly, Luft Hansa formulated a requirement for a new large flying boat to serve on its transatlantic routes.[2] Specifics of this requirement included sufficient space to accommodate a minimum of 24 passengers. In response, the German aircraft manufacturer Hamburger Flugzeugbau decided to design a new larger flying boat, which was initially designated the Ha 222; the company's design team was headed by Dr. Richard Vogt.
