What about something such as the AN/TWQ-1 Boeing Avenger - one might be able to split a pod in two?

Revell Germany produced a Weasel variant (Ocelot) armed with the FIM-92 Stinger in tandem mounts that might also work.

Another good choice.

Thanks guys for some great suggestions. I appreciate them all.

I might keep the Type 87 AW turret as is. I like the sleek look of it and adding more stuff to it will make it look a bit too bulky. The twin Stingers look cool but only if I can find a set real cheap like what's on the Italeri Stinger Hummer. For now, I will probably only change the original single barrel 35mm Oerlikon's to the 20mm M61 Vulcans. The M61 Vulcans will give it that mean look, I hope!

Fair enough.  Can't wait to see the final product.

Cool project!

The comparison shot with the M61A5 is pretty interesting, too. Sure hope Bandai will repop it eventually.
Cheers,

This is put on hold for now. I am working on a few other projects instead. Hope to get back to this one soon though.

These are the other projects.

Thanks!

The Bandai 1/35 M61A5 can still be found but at ridiculous prices. I was lucky to get mine on sale a couple years ago for a fraction of the price they are asking now.
