Many years ago one of my kids won a 1/48 Italeri F22 which they started, assigned to Dad's shelf of doom and then a decade or so later I resurrected it and added a bit of length..   because I could..
It represents a privately contracted force augmentation unit in 2048, when all the cool airforces are running with UAV fighters

That's some of the most outstanding paintwork to come down the pike in quite a while, Les!

Great stuff.

I assume the two seat conversion was scratch built by yourself.

Great looking two-seater Uncle Les!  Something that should be a real thing and not just a what-if.

Where did the canopy and additional cockpit bits come from (eagerly taking notes)?

Canopy is modded from one of my 1/32 CA31/MB326 vacform efforts, the fuselage shape was 3D printed ( just whipped up a bulkhead cross-sectional piece to save on sanding ) and the rest is just cut up plasticard other than the backs of the bangseats - which are just leftover Revell bits.   Decals were laser printed the night before last using JPGs obtained from the interwebs.  The N serial number is, of course, purely speculative !!   :)
