Such a deal works surprisingly well.  :smiley:  Looks good for 500+ MPH regional jet.  Yet another wanna build.

Beautiful!!  I'd argue that it resembles a piston-powered, twin-boom cousin of the AN-28, presumably for locales where getting piston engines serviced is easlier than getting turboprops serviced.

If by "sturdy" you mean fantastic, I agree. Where are the rear clamshell doors from? Just the MI-17's rear fuselage?
