NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover @NASAPersevere

I’ve been “pedal to the metal” lately, focused on my drive to the upcoming delta. But I’ve also spotted a few interesting things along the way: look closely and you’ll see part of the parachute and capsule I rode in on. Definitely wouldn’t be where I am without them!

In Calgary, there's McKnight Boulevard which runs east/west along the south end of the airport and by the Aerospace Museum (now called The Hanger Flight Museum). The road was named after him.
The museum also has a restore Hurricane Mk.XII too, Hurricane 5389.  According to the museum's website, none of the Mk.XII's had spinners ---

... According to the museum's website, none of the Mk.XII's had spinners ---

Robert: I think that statement applies only to the RCAF contract for 400 spinnerless Mk.XIIs which followed the completion of British Mk.XII orders. The British XIIs did have spinners (witness that famous photo of Sea Hurricane XIIA JS327 of 804 NAS after crash-landing on the beach at Oran) ... although there are those who insist that any CCF Hurricane shipped across The Pond automatically becomes a Mk.IIA [1]

To confuse matters is the fact that some RCAF Mk.Xs were later re-engined with Merlin 29s to become Mk.XIIs ... but they retained their original HamStan props complete with spinners.
____________________________________

[1] That seems to stem from British-made engines being fitted. CCF Mk.Xs sent to Britain had their Packard Merlin 28s removed and replaced with British-made engines. AFAIK, all of the exported Mk.XIIs and Mk.XIIAs lacked engines. So, if fitted with Merlin XXs in Britain, they would have been seen as Mk.IIs ... and fitting spinners would have been no problem.

Mars helicopter flies over the Perseverance backshell and parachute. Nothing some super glue, a new coat of paint and a quick wash can't fix:

"The back shell measured nearly 15 (4.5 meters) in diameter, and NASA said the debris impacted the Martian surface at about 78 mph (126 kilometers per hour)." from this Spaceflightnow article.
