Modelling > Beasts of Burden' (Transport/Airliners etc) GB: 1 Apr - 30 Jun

Rules etc. (Sorry for the delay in board setup)

(1/4) > >>

jcf:
This build is for anything in a civil role that moves people or cargo, performs a service (ambulance,
firefighting, cropdusting, logging etc.) air-land-sea-space; flying, rolling, crawling, swimming, hovering
etc.

The only proviso is that the subjects are unarmed, so military transports are OK, gunships are not.
Bombers, fighters etc. converted to non-lethal use are encouraged.

Any and all media are included: physical models, digital models/art, carved soap, bread etc.

If you have a question about a specific subject being allowable, just ask.

Enjoy.

This might be something I'd be interested in, got a question first Jon. Does this below qualify as an entry, all I've done to it is glue the fuselage halves together and fill in the space where the wing went and worked a bit on the main gear sponsons.

The idea came to me after I had been flown to a diamond mine up near the Arctic, the only way in was by flying at the time I went --- in a 737 and the airstrip was all gravel. My idea was a short field/un-prepared turbo prop that could move more people in and out of the mine site at shift change time which the 737's did daily. It is a hybrid between an A310 and an A400M, I'm going to do in in Canadian North scheme.

This is the thread I have here already.

And that is as far as it got ---

Go for it, I have no problem including already started, complex builds of this
sort.  :icon_fsm:

Cheers Jon   I'll make an effort then to get it finished. The hold up of the project was actually trying to get a paint match for the blue, I think I've got that solved but will need some experimenting first. When I was working at YYC (Calgary International), Canadian North had a large hanger/waiting room down on Apron 4/5 for their charter work, got to see the aircraft up close quite a few times and came to the conclusion the blue is like a 'chrome' blue, not exactly metallic though.

Now, could you move the thread into the GB please.

jcf:
What's the move worth to ya?  ;D
