Congratulations EricR, you have managed once again to bring balance to a tail dragging design.  The nose wheel works very well with this subject.  I wish it were this easy in 1:48th scale.

ah right indeed ! trying alternative engines can be a fun game : I have a few radials and others in the spares box :
maybe this can also participate in stash reduction by applying the trick to old kits  ;)

so, the BV222 flying boat with B52 wings was shown there :

and the reciprocal was an obvious thing to try :
and sometimes those systematic schemes lead to something slightly more strange than expected.
In this case, it looks a bit like an ekranoplan ?

Hey, another that works in its own way.      Suspect a center of gravity issue.   Yes, turrets would help.

That's not too bad and it really does need a lot of gun turrets like an Manga/Anime creation    8)
Mind you it really looks like it should've been given the "Rutan" treatment  8) you know wings at the back tailplanes/canards at the front.

ah yes the canard configuration could have been better, I can see it now : next time maybe?
(but I have to fetch the two kits first, and cheap  ;) )

Very nice! The DC-6 fuselaged one has a real British Aerospace ATP look about it  The Transall-fuselage one is more like the early Weserflugzeugbau 4-engined AT 180 study ... yeah, I know, that last one's more than a little obscure   ;D
