New Topic on Missiles, Rockets and other Ordnance

I need to buy some 1/72 Firestreak (ex Blue Jay) missiles for both kit replacement and new installations.  I am looking for any experiences in selecting the best product.

There are three vendors that I am aware of that have / did make the Firestreak be it standalone or part of a larger package:

Freightdog Models > No longer available
Odds And Ordnance Range > https://www.alleycatmodels.co.uk/aircraft-sets-172-scale-354-c.asp
Barracuda > https://www.cybermodeler.com/hobby/details/bar/detail_bar_72215.shtml

I am giving up listing them. They all end up on the shelf of procrastination anyways.

  • Measures the actual aircraft before modelling it...we have the photographic evidence.

For the Freightdog Firestreaks, did you just look at the website, or have you contacted Colin directly.

Just the website for now Robert. They were part of his Hunter P.1109B conversion kit in which I have one. To the best of my knowledge he did not sell them as stand alone items.

You can ask him though, one time I bought eight Firestreaks and eight Red Deans from him separately ---

Will do. The only stand alone missiles he has right now is the Redtop.

They weren't exactly stand alone items when I got them either, I asked him if I could just buy a bunch of the missiles only, and he accommodated me.
