Where is the straw?

The "Magnum" brand ice cream treats are quite delicious :)

Nice play on words, with the rampant illiteracy and lack of even BASIC spelling and grammar infesting the Internet. I LOL'd...

Jeffry, I think straws are the main-gear struts. Still can't figure out what he made the fuse out of...

OK - a little background - our local IPMS group theme display at ModelExpo a couple of years ago was "make something using a plastic disposable bowl as a base".  I combined the typical function of the base material with something more likely to be seen at a modelling competition/exhibition - thus "Sara Lee", the Dessert Fighter was born.

So to answer these conjectures, the main fuselage are a couple of plastic disposable bowls, the struts are those dowells you use for balloons ( a cheap source of plastic rod and other useful items can be found at your local party supplier ), the wings & tail hail from a trashed 1/32 Hurricane, the cowl is from a 1/48 B29, the canopy was a leftover from a 1/32 DH Hornet project and the wheels, prop & pilot are all from the spares box provenance unsure.  The fork & the spoon are from my stock of "plastic things I've taken a shine to" which is raided from time to time to provide coloured plastic for thermoforming or eating cake.  ;)

I have bad news for you, Uncle Les, you definitely belong here!

This is one of the most creative models I've seen yet! The fork & spoon are an excellent touch!
