I got these Heler insects kits, Oryctes nasicornis and Lucanis cervus, thanks to steelpillow,
and could practice some kitbash from them, using a Buccaneer fuselage :

an Alouette helicopter :

and the other way too :

and a Flamingo aircfaft :

Now that's just the cutest little thing!  The bits fit together nicely and I love the resulting "look".

Tintin-inspired, Flamingo-based aerosled Re: hybrid aircraft/animals and others
« Reply #812 on: January 13, 2017, 08:24:04 AM »

I liked this image's aerosled a lot :

and I also liked the bubbly canopy of the Flamingo, of which I had a 1/48  fuselage (from other build earlier in this thread), as well as skis from a 1/72 Twin Otter :

:-* This model is beautiful while... for the scale 1 machine, I would not buy it, preferring a pusher, less endangering people walking/skiing there...

Buccaneer & fishing pole Re: hybrid aircraft/animals and others

with all these Buccanneer-based stuff shown before, I had a fuselage left, and I also had in my stash a funny small fishing rod : hence this fishy combination :
