Interesting project, but... what is T-X program? USAF/USN trainer? with carrier take-off & landing ability? If so, I would choose a biplane layout, to decrease landing speed for the student. And should it be jet-engined fighter-trainer or basic-trainer maybe with turboprop or piston?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-X_program

USAF only for now, jet engined LIFT (lead-in fighter trainer), with sustained high-G performances.

In the meanwhile, from GTX's "Thunder from down under", the CAC CA-23B Jigaru ;)

Regards.

Thanks for the link. While... the Real candidates are not much sexy, I have invented a weirder one (F-82TFX) in my topic http://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=22.msg96274 , thanks for the inspiration!

I fell asleep last night dreaming on how to build this in 1/144 or smaller. Even had a hobby shop dream, but couldn't find a kit of this.

Many marvels once more! :-* :-* :-*
My favourites are the high-wing F-5 completing the F-5 family, and the tailless Napier.

Yeah - sorry - I've been interstate for a while caught up in one of my other personas.

But now I'm back and having seen that CA31 Roulette formation - I'm well and truly inspired to resume.

Thanks a lot! I ignored it completely and now I read the subject at https://eamonh.wordpress.com/2014/01/03/the-ca-31-the-best-little-jet-trainer-that-never-was/ thanks! 1967 project, cancelled later, Supersonic (Mach 1.5) trainer like the T-38. Very interesting, thanks again! And congratulations again for the art picture!
