Title: Aérospatiale (Sud Est) SE.210 Caravelle
Post by: ysi_maniac on April 27, 2021, 09:51:29 AM
What if SAAB had produced an airliner in the same category and time frame as the french Caravelle? This time the 2 Avon engines are enclosed in the rear fuselage.

Here you can see SAAB Karavell, along with her french counterpart.

LINDBERG's 1/96th scale kit is in local discount stores for @$9, so I had to look it up.

Hmmm, scale-o-rama?

If you went to 1/72, the 1/1 scale for length would be 24.00 m to 24.21 m (I'm not sure which Caravelle variant Lindberg was modelling). I'm thinking a very early regional jet -  maybe something along the lines of the Hunting 207?

You should snap those up, because they're still in the $25 range online.

It has rivets on the interior bulkheads and comes complete with what looks like large, well appointed bathrooms. (https://web.ipmsusa3.org/content/caravelle-french-airliner)
