The way Garuda carries those Mavericks is... unorthodox, to say the least. ;D

Love the Mirage!  :-* :-* :-*
Thanks  :D
For the Maverick, I have to say that I don't even know if it is a correct loadout or not, so I believe you ^^

I chose an Air-to-Air loadout you can play in the game: 2 AIM-9 + 6 AIM-120:

And after checking, it seems more accurate  :P

I read Garuda F-15 and instantly think of an Indonesian TNI-AU F-15E maybe in similar scheme to their F-16s:

Love that idea Greg  :-*

I have to find a new kit now, my stash don't thanks you  ;D

Hi guys,

I started to work on the F-15E since last friday and cockpit is almost done:

I still have some black area to paint (rear end of the cockpit and seat) to completely finish it before installing it in the part of the front fuselage

Hope you like it.

I chose an Air-to-Air loadout you can play in the game: 2 AIM-9 + 6 AIM-120:
<...>

It looks like there's a Maverick on the inner shoulder pylon. I don't think it would actually fit there space-wise.
But Mavericks on Strike Eagles are cool. I don't think I've seen any Mavericks on operational Strike Eagles. But in Whiffworld, I suppose the triple launcher would work well on the wing pylon. Would certainly look cool.

Since you're going for the air-to-air loadout, how about another pair of AIM-120s per wing pylon?  :icon_beer: In addition to the AIM-9 and AIM-120 on the shoulder pylons.

Kinda like Boeing is proposing for their F-15X.
Cheers,
Moritz

I like your idea. It's not one of the loadout available in the game but I think I will go for your suggestion.
I only have to find 8 more AIM-120 as the Revell kit only include 2 AIM-120B & 4 AIM-9L/M :P

Hasegawa's "Aircraft Weapons Set E" not only has eight AIM-120s, but also the appropriate LAU-115 spacer/dual launch rails.  :icon_beer:

Perfect, thanks for the information  :D

I was going to source 8 AIM-120C and LAU-117 from some Kinetic kit (F-16 & F-18) but I will still miss the LAU-115, so I will look at closer for this box

Hi guys,

The main fuselage is assembled, and front is now attached to it. Start to looks like to a F-15E  :D

Now I realized that F-15 is a big aircraft  ;D

I thought the Eagle was a pretty big bird even in 1/72.

People that build F-15s in 1/48 must live in hangars, or at least have a lot more space than I do.

That front office is looking great!

Thanks Brian  :D
To be honest about the size... I don't really start to think about where I will put it. All I know is that the boxes where I put my models are full so I need a new one  ;D

Little update:

On the F-15, I have installed the air intake and CFTs. Windshield is also installed since this afternoon.

I'm still impressed by how well parts fit
I also started to work on exhaust part, but nothing relevant to show for the moment (only white paint, I'm still waiting my last order for paint to go further on this  :-[ )

And, I started to work on a French Navy F/A-18C(FN) :

But the fitting is not as good as the F-15E  ;D

Hi guys,

Some progress on the F-15E.

Aside some sub-assembly work, I scratched a dual laucher for AIM-120 with 2 LAU-127 from a Kinetic F-16 and a double ejector from a FMK F-CK-1:

I also started to work on the paint job:

Next step will be to give some "life" to this paint.

Hope you like it     (and that image will appear as I change host to upload them  ;D)

Dual launchers look good!
Hmmm, the F-CK-1 is one kit where I'm tempted to go all  :icon_vader: scale-wise and see if they really do have cookies.

Hi guys,

Long time since my last post. I changed apartement and job among other things, so it has been busy time and didn't manage to finished any scale model since all those changes until recently.

No updates on the F-15, I still have to work on the loadout.
Today, I will show my last 2 builds finished in the last few days/weeks: a Zero and a F-16B.

Tamiya A6M2 Zero (old mold)

I did a little bit too heavy weathering on this one, due to my lack of training after this long break  ;D

F-16B Kinetic (old mold):

More happy with the weathering on this one.

The next one will be a Sri Lanka AF Kfir (Kinetic) and after that I will a what-if JF-17 (already on the bench) and J-10C from Trumpeter.

Hope you like it  :D
