Brian,
as hard as it may be to believe, Damnation Alley was a big, budget theatrical release and it was supposed to be 20th Century Fox's summer blockbuster for 1977. Their second-string release for the year was one in which they had little confidence. You may know that one as it made stars of Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.
;D
... and that my friends is the definition of irony.

Gentlemen, we're fast approaching the starting line. In fact, some of you are already there!
I'll leave it until I find a better way to post pic's here before I try again. This was too difficult & time consuming for me.
The Soviet radar operator thought this was fishy and did NOT push the button he was supposed to have pushed.
Whew! :o

This is a 1/48 Tamiya JS-2. I used a 1/35 76mm barrel to simulate a 1/48 100mm barrel. I will add Polish markings to it. I left the fuel tanks off,and added spare tracks on one side, spare road wheels on the other. The box on the turret is not glued on. I am not sure if I will leave it on.

Looks like scale-o-rama FTW this time with the 35th scale barrel as your 100mm barrel in 48th scale. Wish it were that simple all the time.
nice JS, Zod :) That box looks ok to me, leave it ! The spare wheels are something I've never seen on a Russian tank either but look good too. What cam or markings are you gonna have (big red/yellow guards shield ;) ) ??
You lucked out on the barrel this time 8) I "have" to use biros & crappy plastic paint-brushes for my up-size barrels :D
That's a mighty fine tank, Zod! I like crate on the turret. Gives it character.
Excellent work!

Looking good! Why no AAMG for the turret? Would have imagined that would be necessary considering the threat of air attack by the opposing force.

The kit came with no AAMG. I do not know of any Dushka MG in 1/48. :(

If they are fighting against the Russians then maybe it would be okay to use a Browning or an MG-42.
I like that MG-42 idea I can see the Communist forces keeping captured ones after W.W.2.If they are fighting against the Russians then maybe it would be okay to use a Browning or an MG-42.Looking good! Sometimes networking does work.
It would make sense too since the Poles would be fighting the Russians so an MG42 on the turret would make a lot of sense. No different from Israel using the MG34 and Kar98 during their early wars. Probably a lot of other examples of this but those are the two that come to mind as I write this.

Maybe as a substitute you could use a 1/48 12.7 mm Berezin UBT machine gun from the rear of a Il-2?
^ No, that's a 7.62mm PM M1910, often seen called "Maxim". Don't see why you couldn't use that, though.
I think Propaganda Company do a "Dushka".
