I do not want to be politically controversial, this is just an historical fiction
With Trump's decission to abandon NATO, UK performs a second Brexit from NATO too. NATO is completely disbanded. Europen continental countries remain alone in front of a progresively more agressive Russia. France is the only nuclear power.
In this state of things, EU countries decide to extend the European Treaty to defense issues too. Main countries, by population, (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Poland) begin 2 big join projects:
1- to produce last generation nuclear weapons
2- to design a strategic bomber. Airbus will be main contractor
Here are 2 proposals
Less ambitious A450

and ambitious stealth A460

Interesting designs!

Interesting designs!
Agreed! Both appear to be eminently capable of being modeled, too. Does the A-460 have two or four engines? I could see it with four using two per exhaust "tough" or just two larger engines.

^^^^
As can guess, A460 is an scaleoramed YF-23: 2:1 that's to say about 40 m long. As I began to draw I began to think in 4 engines disposed in 2 pairs.

Interesting... I believe additions to heavy transports would also be needed. Airbus A400M with EU roundels might be a start. Or do we need a jet?
-
One option might be to do something like this using a A400M:

Do you think that a subsonic transport can warrant arrival to target?
Will a medium range cruise missile be a better alternative? In this case, why an A400 and not an A350, maybe?

After seeing an A400M in person, I'm really curious to see what an Airbus bomber/strike aircraft would look like. Great ideas!
