Me262 (1/32) & shark, yellow Re: hybrid aircraft/animals and others
« Reply #462 on: February 07, 2016, 06:01:46 AM »

thanks  ;)

here, the Me262 is an old 1/32 one from Hasegawa, and the shark is by Pegasus
(I had already used part of it with Space Shuttle boosters earlier in this thread :

yes indeed !
I actually tried it in 1/72 already, at the very beginning of this thread, but 1/32 also works fine  ;)

Other people here could try it, with the same ingredients, and better skills and a different livery (either Luftwaffe or something else  ;))

shark & Me262 (1/32) reciprocal, red Re: hybrid aircraft/animals and others
« Reply #467 on: February 10, 2016, 04:16:33 AM »

and here comes the reciprocal : the Pegasus 1/18 shark equipped with the 1/32 Hasegawa Me262 wings and tail.
I did try to have it sit on its wheels, but failed to put the right weight in the head. It is possible (using really heavy fishing weights), but it might require strengthening the legs, because the shark body is already a bit heavy : if anyone out here tries it, be warned! but it would be worth it, really, I think.

I think that's my favorite build of yours, yet, Eric! It looks fantastic! I also think it looks perfect mounted like that—like it's coming in for a landing and has just spotted something tasty on approach...like an aviation photographer!

Cheers,

What I prefer (and I do love it! :-* ) is the fin not in the centerline but oblical as the fish is moving... I would like to include it in my collection of asymmetric airplane (as true invention! lonely one of its kind!), but for that, could you add a view from above? ???

thanks a lot, I particularly appreciate your appreciation !

Tophe you can certainly use the picture : assymetry comes mostly from the flexibility of the body of the shark : the fin is in line with the tail ;-)

Thanks! Well, I was hoping a view from above would show the asymmetry more clearly but the first picture may be enough, I will see.

That red "Shark 262" is pure eye-candy and I especially like how it plays on the shark-like look of the original aircraft!

The curved pose is the icing on the cake!
