What do we have here? Yes, it's an old Revell Heinkel HE100D and a couple floats. Let's see what I can do with this.

Went ahead and sprayed some gray on the interior to get things started.

Just a quick update. I have the basic assembly completed. A little PSR to blend in the floats and struts, then it will be ready for some paint.

That's a nice idea. :)
Wonder if they'd come up with some even more insanely complicated cooling system than the "standard" He.100, with coolant being piped through the bottom of the floats?
(And before somebody says it, yes I've seen the Schneider Trophy planes with radiators on the floats)

During the late 1930's Germany's most successful racing airplane was the Heinkel 103. It competed in numerous races, but is most famous for winning the Schneider Trophy in the 1938 race.
